Fuzzy Muffins has a new website! Hoooray!!!!
After putting it off forever and thinking about it for far too long, I finally sat down for four days (not without distractions and sleep, but you can pretend I did if it makes you like the site more) and did it.

Let me know what you think! If you have any weird mishaps or something doesn't work properly, please let me know. I tried my hardest to catch all the little bugs, but no programming is perfect!

So I guess you can say I've been a bit crochet crazy. I've been neglecting the sewing machine this week, but it's been really nice to be able to create away from my sewing corner in the living room, haha.

I've decided to try some new things and this was one of 'em! Never fear, I have some new animals up my sleeves too, but come on, who doesn't love monsters?

These are the first three - I have plenty more sketches and designs that I want to create soon. I'll probably continue to introduce them in groups of three.

I've decided it's time for something new. We have a new website (blog still needs to be completed) and a few new animals, but it's time for something REALLY new.

I've got some ideas up my sleeves, don't you worry. I'm hoping to get it all complete this week. In the meantime, here's a new idea I've had.

I've been working on the website and it's almost completely redesigned! I couldn't wait, so I went ahead and uploaded it all. Everything is for reals except for this blog! I'll be redesigning it to match as soon as I get the chance.

As you guys know, I've been doing lots of craft shows this spring (for me at least). We're not done yet! I have one that's a week away, but so far, so good.

I'm sure you all have noticed that the online shop has been empty for some time. As you can imagine, it's pretty hard to keep it stocked up on top of all the shows and school. Finals week is quickly approaching and I can't promise my sanity for the next two weeks, haha.

Hellooooooo, Walrus. Not bad for the first run, eh? I'm pretty pumped about the new pattern. I'm working on a few other new animals, including a more complex penguin and a hedgehog!

Fuzzy Muffins sewing time has been pretty sporadic lately because I recently started working at my new job, where I'll be spending my days designing away in front of a gorgeous, 23" iMac. Woot! However, I'm starting to get into the groove of the new schedule and will be sure to set aside a set day and time each week to create some new Fuzzies!

As I mentioned in my last post, I'll be participating in the Funky Finds Spring Fling on March 13th, and now it's starting to look like Fuzzy Muffins might be present at another craft show (Bazaar Days) on May 8th! That one isn't 100% for sure just yet, but I'll be sure to let you know.

I've decided I'm awful at keeping up a blog. But here we go again... it's a new year and I need to work on my web presence!

Lately I've found myself extremely inspired to create some new animals and experiment with new sizes.. and perhaps some new goods. I don't want to give anything away just yet but. Uh. Walrus.

Yesterday my boyfriend, best friend, and I had a crazy Fuzzy Muffins photoshoot! Three photographers and a big ol' pile of Fuzzies. It was awesome. I'll be adding the animals to my shop throughout the week.

I'll be participating in the Funky Finds Spring Fling again this year, and I'm super pumped. I'm looking forward to bringing a bunch of entirely new plushies and goodies to the event. If you're in the DFW area, you should definitely try to make your way out on March 13th! There's going to be a ton of really talented crafters and artists.

Keep a lookout on the shop this week! My sewing machine is calling me, so I better run.

My apologies for blog updates being so sporadic! Life has been absolutely insane lately.

Classes have started back up for the semester, and as I'm sure you all know by now, that means design classes. Which means ridiculous amounts of schoolwork and much less sleep. I'm taking packaging design and advertising this semester, both of which I'm REALLY pumped about. I'm sure I'll share some of my work from them on my portfolio site.

In other news, I recently moved! That's right. No more 400 square foot apartment for me! I'm now in a massive two-story house with 4 roommates. I LOVE it.

I actually have a designated sewing station now, and not just a kitchen table that magically morphs into a sewing table when I need it to. This house is seriously spoiling me. I didn't realize how crammed I was in my apartment, but I can't imagine going back now... Especially after lugging all that stuff up and down stairs. I learned that I have way too much stuff. Period.

Fuzzy Muffins is going to be a part of the IndieFixx Galleria this month, and I'm super excited to see how it turns out! I've been prepping my shop description and whatnot before the launch tomorrow!

I still have a lot of plushies I want to add to the shop, but I haven't been able to photograph any because it's been raining for five days straight here in Denton. Seriously! I'm beginning to consider building an ark. Who's down for helping me out? We can load up all our friends, family, and plushies and sit around skimming through design books. It'll be glorious.

Anyway, just let me know when you want to get to building. I'll be over here sketching package designs for "change." :P

Oh my goodness, it's been forever! This summer has been much, much busier than expected. I believe last time I updated was before my crazy New York road trip, so I'll start from there!

On June 1st, Brad (boyfriend), our friend Charlie, and I set out on a crazy adventure to travel from Denton, TX to Syracuse, NY... in a tiny, Saturn Ion.

We stopped in most of the major cities on the way: Little Rock, Memphis, Nashville, Philadelphia, Washington D.C., and New York City. It was ridiculously amazing, especially for someone who's never even been to an airport... ahem. Me.

We had some ridiculously good luck along the way. We managed to run into some really great people who told us where we should go in the cities we visited. In Philly Brad and Charlie ran up the Rocky steps. Fist pumps were NOT left out.

We managed to run into a John Legend concert in Central park, get to the Top of the Rock right as the sun was setting, and ran across the Brooklyn Bridge in record time (not really... but for us it was fast) in order to get across before the sunset.

It was definitely a rushed trip, and I would love to go back when I have more than a day to spend in New York City. Once we reached Syracuse things slowed down a little. We attended a mutual friends pre-wedding party (and wedding the next day) at a beautiful lakehouse. It's insane how diverse the state of New York is. If you just drive north of NYC for a few hours, you'll run into a postcard perfect landscape: rolling hills, gorgeous lake beaches, and a ton of cute little ponds!

We has some good luck in Syracuse too. We ended up heading downtown to see the neat, ol' architecture and ran into the Taste of Syracuse Festival, where we discovered that Kevin Costner, yes, Kevin Costner is in a country band. Whaaaaat?

Once we got back to Texas, Brad and I packed right back up to head to Florida to spend a week at the beach with his family. That was a blast... and a nice break after all that driving!

Since then I've been back at home, feeling like I'm catching up on everything ever.

I've managed to catch up on all my custom orders, create a new website for my design portfolio, settle in at my new day job, work on some freelance design work, and take a few summer classes. I'll be working on a couple films doing graphic and photography work in the next few weeks, and I'm working with one of the directors right now to create custom Fuzzy Muffins puppets to "act" in her movie. It's going to be a pretty ridiculous comedy, and I'm hoping a little hint of Fuzzy Muffins makes it that much funnier!

Next month, Fuzzy Muffins is going to be featured in one of my favorite craft blogs, and I cannot wait. I won't disclose WHICH blog just yet, but keep a lookout! :)

Catchin' Up on Real Life

Custom Order BearsSummer is officially here for me. Hooooray!

A lot has been going on in my world. The end of the semester meant it was time for the most important portfolio review of the Communication Design degree - midpoint. We had to gather all of our work from Typography, Computers in Art, Graphic Design, and Color Rendering, make sure it was neatly mounted and organized, and bring it to be judged. Only about 35 designers made the cut. Thank goodness, I was one of them.

Now that I'm done freaking out and stressing about THAT, I've been catching up on real life. You know, oil changes... laundry.. all the stuff that gets pushed aside when life gets hectic. I've also been doing some freelance identity and web design work to keep the creative juices flowing.

I haven't had much time to sew any new Fuzzy Muffins outside of the 4 custom orders I received recently, but I'm hoping that I can get right back on the machine in late June after... wait for it... I get back from road-tripping to New York! I'm super stoked about this trip. Just so you guys know, I've never traveled anywhere. Tennessee and Georgia are pretty much the only two states I've seen outside of Texas, and I've never even BEEN to an airport, much less flown. Come June 1st, though, I'll be road-tripping with my boyfriend Brad and our friend Charlie all the way up to Syracuse, NY for a week, coming back home, and then packing right back up to head to a beach condo in Florida. It's going to be GLORIOUS.

I'll definitely be bringing plenty of yarn and needles to keep myself entertained on the road. I keep imagining me filling the back seat with crocheted birds, haha.

Anyway, I'm thinking after this trip, life will start settling down a bit. I have two possible jobs lined up along with some more freelance design. Life will probably be calm for a month or so. Right? Unless I do that craft show in Dallas in October... ;)

Mission Complete: Spring Fling Craft Show

I know you haven't heard from me much lately, and there's a really good reason for it!
I finally participated in my first craft show, the Funky Finds Spring Fling. It was a blast!

There were a lot of really great crafters taking part in the show. If you get the chance, definitely check out these two really great companies:

Heatherly : These guys make amazingly cute stationary, and the owners, Heather and Jackson Chang are great people!
Bella Bejewled : Sarah Page makes beautiful jewelry! She was my neighboring booth, and her and her friends were absolutely amazing!

The Funky Finds show was the first craft fair for a lot of crafters, but everyone did so well! I wish I had more pictures of the place, but I ended up staying at my booth for a majority of the show. I can definitely say I learned a few things for next time, however. A food/drink ice chest will definitely be something I bring to my next show! You really get the munchies chillin' at a table all day.

I now have 50+ animals to upload to the website. I'll be adding a few daily, so keep checking back to see if there are any plushies that are calling your name!

It's been exactly one month since I last updated. Whoops! Obviously my graphic design classes have been stealing all my free time.

A lot has gone down in the past month. Jesse, the customer who ordered the penguin and iguana from my last post, contacted me to see if I could make his girlfriend a platypus for valentine's day. I've never tried my hand at a platypus, but with some experimentation, this little guy was born:

Then, from February 6-13, Fuzzy Muffins was featured in an Experimental Typography show on campus at UNT. I created a GIANT, fuzzy letter Q, along with a small, lime green, crocheted q. Blending my love for typography and plushies was a BLAST, and I'm sure you will be seeing more squishy letters from me in the future.

Of course, the giant Q needed some cat ears. :D
Besides that, most of my time has been eaten up by my graphic design class. We're currently working on designing identity marks for our clients. Groove Salad, my client, is an online radio station that plays commercial free ambient music. You should definitely check it out, along with their other stations. It's great working music.

This is pretty much all I see these days.
Hopefully by the end of all this, I'll have some great work to post and share with you all.

In my non-work related world this month:
Brad's birthday was on the 18th, and it was AMAZING. We dressed up all spiffy and went out to Texas de Brazil, an unbelievable restaurant in Dallas. The food was SO incredible. Afterward, we headed over to the Granada for a breathtaking Lykke Li concert. It was tons of fun, and I'm really glad we managed to do something he'll remember. We've both been so busy lately, I was worried for a while that we wouldn't be able to fit anything special into our schedules. I'll be sure to post a picture from the concert in my next update.

Sadly, I need to get back to work now. I have a ton of thumbnails due on Monday for Groove Salad. Ah, the life of a comm. designer...

First Day of Classes

Ah, the first day of classes. It started off well, went a little downhill, and then ended amazingly. Since I plan on working this semester, I made it a point to only enroll in 12 credit hours. Six of these hours are mandatory design classes, and then I was enrolled in a marketing class and honors medieval art history.

Well, the marketing class seems like it's going to be pretty easy AND interesting! My professor has an understandable accent, which is always a plus. The day seemed to be going great... until the honors art history class. SUPER reading and writing intensive. Like. Ridiculously reading and writing intensive. AND all the books (at least 30 of them) are on reserve in the library. Sorry, I just don't have time to spend reading tons of books in the library.

Long story a little shorter, I dropped the class and got into Buyer Behavior! I'm actually really excited about that course. :) AND I might have a job at the local Joann Fabric Store, which would be awwwwesome.

Anyway, I finished two of my six custom orders this week. Hopefully they are well received! I'm sure you'll hear from me again after I see how ridiculously time consuming my design classes are going to be.

A Quick Update

Today I updated the website a little. Nothing big, just a few changes here and there. I added some photos under the About and Product sections and changed the ones on the home page. Those will probably be changing again soon, but I figured it was due time to show some new stuffies.

I'm still loaded down with lots to do. I'm nearing completion on one custom order, a rather large (well, for crochet) purple penguin. After this little guy is done, I have four more orders.. possibly five! I'm definitely expanding my patterns on these though. Iguanas, manatees, platypuses... should be interesting!

I have a giant decision to make this week. I just found out about the Funky Finds Spring Fling craft show in April. It sounds like tons of fun, and I'd LOVE to participate.. I'm just a little unsure if I'll be able to prepare enough beforehand! I'll definitely have to get REALLY serious about getting a lot of animals finished quickly. I'll probably think it over for a few nights and figure out if I really have the time. However, there's an extremely high possibility Fuzzy Muffins creations may make their first public outing this spring!!

As far as New Years Resolutions go, this year has already been more successful than the rest. I've managed to create two stuffed animals a week since the first of the year. Hopefully I'll be able to keep it up once classes start again.

I recently received a rather large custom order, so after today, it may be about two weeks before new stuff is added to the shop again. I'm really excited about the custom order though! I'll be sure to share as things become more concrete and I complete some of the animals.

In February two Fuzzy Muffins creations are going to be featured in an experimental typography exhibit at my university. Be prepared to see some awesome crocheted type pretty soon. :)

Outside of the Fuzzy Muffins world, I've been applying for jobs like crazy. No, I'm serious. I've applied for 30 jobs in the past two weeks. So far, no luck. I'm hoping I start to get some calls soon. That Smart car isn't going to pay for itself next year!

Alright, time to get to work on that custom order. Classes start back up in five days, which is a big bummer, but hey! That means the season premiere of Lost is coming up! Woo!

After disappearing from the internet world for an entire semester, Fuzzy Muffins is back in business! The website is officially working again, Twitter will no longer be my only form of communication, and new plushies are being added to the shop. Finally!

The past couple months have been pretty hectic. Once school started back up in the fall, my typography class took up a majority of my free time. Any moments that weren't spent staring at typefaces were distributed among club events, networking with other designers, and getting (or trying to get) a few hours of sleep every night!
Alright, alright. I won't lie. There was a lot of potential crafting time that was thrown aside to spend time with the amazing new boy in my life, Brad. I'm sure you'll hear more about him later on. :)

Christmas was all over Texas this year! I ended up traveling between Rosenberg, Aledo, and El Campo to spend celebrate three separate Christmases with my mom, Brad's family, and a bunch of others. Despite all the driving, it was an awesome holiday week.

And here we are. 2009. Brad and I went to the Big D NYE in Dallas to celebrate the coming of the new year. It was INSANE. People filled the streets of downtown Dallas... you couldn't see where they ended! Amazingly enough, we ended up in the second row right in front of the main stage. Definitely the most awesome New Years celebration I've ever been a part of.

My resolutions for 2009:

Create two Fuzzy Muffins creations per week.
Use my new Canon DSLR camera more.
Save up for a Smart Car.

Goodbye Summer

The summer officially ended for me today. Boo for the first day of classes.

Not much has been going on in the Fuzzy Muffins world. Since the big move I've been struggling to finish up birthday presents and get everything together before school started.

Now that school is back, I can't promise it's going to get much better. I already have 16 hours worth of homework due on Wednesday for my Typography class. :(

BUT HOPEFULLY, once I get back in the groove of things, I'll have more time. Maybe even this weekend!

Basically I just wanted to let any readers know that I'm still around. Don't give up on Fuzzy Muffins just yet!

I'm starting to get back into the groove of things. All orders that happened during the move have now been shipped. I have a few birthday gifts to whip up, and then it's back to adding Fuzzy Muffins products to the shop! Hurray!

THE BIG MOVE!

I'm moving tomorrow, and I don't have internet set up at the new place just quite yet, so there won't be any updates from me for a couple days. :(

Any orders placed from now on will not be shipped until next Wednesday, the 20th of August. That way I have a little cushion time to get settled into the new apartment!

I'm really, uber excited to decorate a whole new space! Once the entire place isn't full of boxes, I'll be sure to show you all pictures. :D

Still no new items. I'm going to be busy the next week making birthday gifts for friends and moving. I never realized how many people were born in August! Geez!

Today I had an epic fight with Paypal. If any of you have purchased anything from me, you've probably noticed the strange email address you've been sending payments to. Haha, well... I haven't updated my Paypal since I was 13 years old... So today, I created a new account specifically for Fuzzy Muffins. It took some magic and trickery, and I'm still an "unconfirmed" customer, but it's there, and that's what matters. I'll be fixing all the little details about it in a week or so, after everything from the old account clears. However, all new payments can now be sent to shop.fuzzymuffins@gmail.com! Hurrah!

My last day of work at the courthouse is tomorrow, and I'm kind of sad to be leaving. However, I'm ready for something new. Hopefully I'll find work easily in Denton.

In conclusion.. Fuzzy Muffins production is kind of at a standstill for about a week. I'll still be shipping orders, however. I shall keep you updated!

The end of a birthday.

Today was my birthday! It was a pretty uneventful day.
I played hooky from work and hung out with some old friends. It was nice to see everyone.

In the Fuzzy Muffins realm, not much has happened on account of moving, my birthday, and making gifts for friend's birthdays. Sorry about that. I have a ton of ideas... just no time! How frustrating!

I do, however, now have official business cards! I ordered them from Zazzle, and they came in the mail today. I'm extremely pleased with the quality! They look great! :D

I just wanted to show you all my new vinyl car stickers with the website on them!
I know it seems silly, but I'm still super excited about them.

The black car is mine. The blue car is my mom's, who is lovingly letting me advertise on her car. :D Huzzah!

Oh, and you're lucky it rained the other day. Otherwise my car would have been diiiiirty! I'm pretty lazy when it comes to washing that thing. Haha!

Still haven't gotten around to sewing today... perhaps tomorrow. Getting everything together to move is taking up a lot of time! Whew! But, I have been crocheting quite a bit. Hopefully I'll have something new to put in the shop soon!

So, I know it's Saturday night already, but I'm still happy that it's the weekend. It was a looong week.

I've been crocheting like a fiend, and I've added 3 items to the shop the past two days. I haven't quite gotten around to sewing yet, but in due time, in due time. However, right now I'm working on my first huggable sized amigurumi! I'm super excited.

Today I went flea market shopping but didn't have much luck. The particular flea market we went to was overflowing with knock-off versions of designer products and didn't have much else. Phooey. However, we found a place that makes custom vinyl stickers for your car, and I bought two that say the Fuzzy Muffins website URL on them! I'll take pictures tomorrow because I'm really pumped about them! :D

Next week is going to be pretty hectic for me. Tuesday, the 12th, is my birthday! Whoohoo! And then I'm moving back to Denton on August the 16th. I'm not sure how many days it'll be until I have internet in my new apartment, but I'm going to try my best to make sure I get it as soon as possible. I'll check my email at friend's houses and the library until then, and try to keep up with orders as best as I can.

Mau the Lion!I'm not going to lie, the past few days have not been very productive. I've been shop, shopping away, preparing to move into my new apartment. However, I nearly have everything I need, plus a whole lot of extra stuff that was just plain fun.

I've bought a whole lot of really fun colored kitchen utensils! I know it sounds really geeky, but I'm uber excited about my bright orange, lime green, and blue spatulas, spoons, and tongs. :D Maybe they'll inspire me to cook more. I'm just such a sucker for easy stuff! The microwave is my friend, most definitely. Baking, however, is a different story. I loooove to bake! Strange how that works, isn't it?

Anywho, since not too much has been going on in the Fuzzy Muffins realm, I thought I would share another Etsy seller.

Petunia and Theo!
As promised, new plushies have been added to the shop tonight! There will be more to come later this week! I've been slaving over my sewing machine and hunched over a ball of yarn and my favorite crochet needle.

So, today I didn't get around to sewing because I went shopping for my new apartment!
(Heads up, I'll be moving August 16th, so the shop will be temporarily closed for a while during that time.)
Anywho, I went to Bed Bath and Beyond and was thoroughly disappointed. Everything was ridiculously over-priced. However, I had tons of coupons that I've been getting in the mail, so I ended up getting really good bargains. Thank goodness for coupons!

Once I get moved, I'd love to take pictures of my new place so you can see how I live and where I make all of the Fuzzy Muffins lovable creatures! Hopefully it won't take too long for me to get settled in.

However, I still have eleven days here to sew, sew away! I'm off of work tomorrow because of tropical storm (possibly hurricane?)Edouard, so I'll be enjoying the rain in my workspace! Huzzah!

Keep a lookout soon for pencil pouches and other small pouches! I've been experimenting with zippers (man, I hate zippers) and measurements and I hope to get some in the shop soon! I hope everyone enjoys their Wednesday!

Hello everyone!

I just returned from a crazy weekend full of camping, a family reunion that wasn't my family, and stuffing my face like a pig. Or perhaps.. a lion. *nudge nudge* Lion. Shop. Tomorrow evening.

Ahem. So yes. It's been a weird weekend. I saw at least 4 mullets, ate a whole lot of potato salad, and listened to a teeth-clinching amount of drunken karaoke. However, it was still a whole lot of fun. Well, interesting, to say the least. And I discovered that in nearly every picture I've seen so far, I'm hunched in a chair crocheting. Ohhh boy!

We arrived back this evening and since I've walked through the door I've been sitting at the sewing machine, creating irresistibly cute creatures for all of you! I'll be updating the shop tomorrow evening after work! Then it's straight back to cutting out pieces and creating more creatures! Woohoo!

But for now, I must sleep. All that potato salad gave me droopy eyelids!

Crocheting and Sewing away!

Sorry for the lack of updates lately. I've been going through some rocky times and dealing with personal stuff.

Birds in the making!However, I'm getting back on track, starting today. I have these three little birds-to-be that should be completed by tonight, and I currently have a half finished lion plushie that should be completed soon as well!

I recently bought a lot of fleece in super fun colors and also found some adorable pastel fabrics that remind me of terry cloth, but much softer. I'm hoping to make some baby-safe plushies soon. Of course, that doesn't mean they have to be given to babies!

This past week I spent hours in the craft section of Barnes and Noble, and I found a ton of inspiration. I flipped through sewing, crocheting, and even screen printing books. The best thing about books like those - they always have such happy colors and amazing photos. Although I didn't actually purchase anything, I came home with lots of new ideas and color schemes.

Anywho, it's dinner time, and my tummy isn't going to let me forget! Time to eat!

My weekend has suddenly changed from having no plans, to being fully packed!

Because of this, it's sadly going to take me longer to get some more plushies into the shop! So, I'm sorry everyone!

Because I can't share new, exciting plushies with you, I can at least let you know my plans. :D

Tonight I rode on a motorcycle for the first time! Okay, well I rode on the back, but it was still super fun. I was terrified the first time the driver (my mom's boyfriend) gunned it. But after loosening up a bit (and finally letting go of my death grip to the seat) I really enjoyed it!
Tomorrow I'm off to spend the night in the wonderful city of Austin to visit my brother and his friends. We're going to lounge around and enjoy some fajitas! Delicioussss.

It certainly has turned into a weekend full of driving and visiting! However, I swear, I will sew and crochet any time I get the chance! I have a lot of great ideas AND lots of brand new fabric!

First Custom Order, More Sales, and Upcoming Projects

Whewy, keeping up with an online shop is a lot of work! In the past two days I have completed my first custom order, packed up two (mighty big) orders, been crocheting the cutest little bear, and gone fabric hunting! Tomorrow it's off to the post office, and then hopefully after work I'll have time to doing some hardcore sewing!

My goal to get twenty items in the shop is proving to be ridiculously difficult. But that's a-okay with me! I'm just so glad that everyone loves my animals so much!

I have been asked by two boutiques (one in Denton, Texas and one in North Carolina) if there is anyway I could do some sort of consignment plan with them! So soon enough, you all may be able to buy Fuzzy Muffins plushies in a real life shop. How exciting!

My next couple projects:

and hopefully many more!

I was hoping to get a bit more done this weekend, but this past week had me exhausted. However, there are two new happy faces in the shop, waiting to be adopted!

More will come tomorrow, and I've got a surprise up my sleeve! I'll just tell you that it involves adorable food. :P

A Little Background

Because everyone likes to be a little nosy at times, I figured I should have a post that tells you a little bit about myself.

Currently I'm a sophomore at the University of North Texas, where I'm studying Communication Design. It's a pretty intense program, so I'm hoping I'll be able to keep up with the site/shop once the fall semester starts up. Once I graduate, I'm hoping to go into packaging design. We'll see how all that goes.

I've been artsy all my life. I've been drawing since I was teeny, but my first semester of college was when I really started to get serious. Even though I've taken art courses that focus on drawing from real life, my style is goofy and cutesy. It's just so much more fun that way :D

Having my own website to sell things has always been on the back of my mind, but I never thought it would actually happen! I'm just glad I've been productive this summer! Although, I have watched my fair share of T.V.

Currently, I am working full time for the county at the courthouse where my mom lives, but it's only temporary, as I'll be moving back to Denton in August. (so there will be a short time where I won't be able to ship things because I'll be moving!!)

So, here you have it. A bit about the creator of Fuzzy Muffins. Hopefully that'll fulfill any curiosities you may have!

New Birdies!
Well, I've been crocheting like a fiend, and HTML-ing like no other.

The results? I have added 3 new little guys to the shop, and I still don't understand code. But heck, I'm pretty darn proud of what I've accomplished. The website is pretty much what I hoped for. I still have a little tweaking to do with this here blog, but for now, I'm pretty pleased. Let me know what you think!

Tonight I added amigurumi birds, Rio and Lavender, and Raspberry the amigurumi octopus to the shop! Go give them a looksie. :D I hope they find nice homes.

More creatures have been adopted, which is super exciting. I definitely did not expect to do so well the first week! This only intensifies my goal to get 20 items in the shop soon! I'd love to aim for more, but with me selling my soul to the county (AKA: working at the courthouse 40 hrs/week), I honestly wouldn't be able to do so and get a wink of sleep. And if you care to know, I absolutely love sleeping. :D

Make sure to keep a lookout in the shop this upcoming week! New cuddly faces should be appearing!

1st sale and upcoming projects!

Delicious, delicious yarn.
So today I had my first official sale! Parsnip the amigurumi bunny and Belle the amigurumi bird have found a new home in Canada! Hopefully the little guys will enjoy the trip there all the way from Texas.

This sets a new goal for me: to have the shop stocked with 20 items in a week and a half! We'll see how that works out! So far, I've been stickin' to it! Heck, I even crocheted on my lunch break at work today!

I think for now I'm going to mainly focus on amigurumi for the shop. That doesn't mean I won't be adding any sewn plushies with the next couple of weeks, but don't be surprised if there seems to be an abundance of crochet!

Fuzzy Muffins is getting well on its way to becoming a real, live online shop!

After hours of searching and trial and error, I finally got this blog looking pretty much how I want it to. Whew, that was rough. I'm so not a coding kind of person. Designing a site? Yes. Coding it? Please shoot me. But I did it! *happy dance*

I set up my Etsy sellers profile as well, and listed (get this) 10 plushies!
Within an hour of finishing, 10 Etsy users have already "hearted" my shop!

I'm so excited about all of this right now. To celebrate, I'm off to crochet :D
